The Chasm A small skittering was the only noise that could be heard in the darkness of the cavern. A void of darkness seemed to go on forever in all directions, except for the ground below, and a massive, nearly vertical wall on one side. It was a stone wall, perfectly flat and polished, beyond the precision that any human could craft. The floor, too, had a surreal perfection. The Chasm by Bytestream
A crack appeared in the wall. It started small, but within an instant, was several meters long and bulging. The sound of what was causing the rupture was muted- you could only hear an odd grinding. Then, the wall shattered open, with chunks of the wall scattering all over the ground.
Light shot out of the newly-formed gap. Then, a mechanical vehicle resembling a tank, presumably the cause of the hole, rolled out into the cavern on large treads. The strangest thing about the tank was that it was completely silent other than the crunching of it's treads against the ground. Above the tank hovered an orb about thirty cen
I've been kicking around on this website since 2010 or so, and started posting in the forums again recently so I decided I put up a new about me here. c:|
I'm a pre-HRT transgirl, trying to get through college and transition. I spend far too much time on the internet because I have a pretty low threshold for dealing with the outside world.
I'm also a Java programmer, and a lot of people know me for having created a pretty widely-used piece of software, which I won't name here because I want this account to be moderately anonymous.
My favorite TV shows are Steven Universe and Doctor Who, my favorite games are TF2, Undertale, and Minecraft. I like more music than I could really mention here, and should probably link some spotify playlists, or something.
Some of my other interests include social justice, feminism, and animal rights. I'm almost a vegan. (I don't have an issue with killing animals for meat, but factory farms disgust me because they torture animals.). I want to help make the world a better place by using empathy and technology to reduce suffering. Lofty goals, but a person can do a little bit.
